TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY
Chronic mental health conditions – some of which are not completely understood – may require various treatment modalities. We offer a range of solutions that include medication management, non-invasive procedures, and various supplements. Patients experiencing persistent symptoms will achieve the best results when then are open to new treatments.

Dr. Sujit Varma

MBBS, MD, FAPA

Dr. Varma had a vision, which turned into establishing a Behavioral Health Clinic that integrates the latest and greatest techniques available for testing and treatment. He is committed to bringing his award- winning expertise to help as many patients as possible.

Dr. Varma treats adults, children, adolescents and geriatric populations and patients from various cultural backgrounds.  

Dr. Varma has been in practice since 2003 and since received the reputation of being Minnesota’s top psychiatrist among the mental health field.  He loves watching patients transform into healthy souls and does it without judgement.

Zach McCalley

PA-C, MS

Zach is a Board Certified Physician Assistant with the state of Minnesota. He graduated from the University of Dubuque with a Masters in Physician Assistant studies along with a Bachelor in Science in Psychology from the University of Iowa.

Zach specializes working together with adults that experience a wide variety of psychiatric disorders including: Addiction, ADHD, Anxiety, and Mood disorders. Throughout the past years in the mental health field Zach has come to enjoy practicing psychotherapy during his visits. Zach is licensed to assess, diagnose, and prescribe medication.

In his spare time, Zach enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family, and watching and playing sports.

Nicole Mislivec

PMHNP-BC, MSN, APRN

Nicole is a Nurse Practitioner, with background and experience as an RN for the last 10 years. She has extensively trained to perform IV Ketamine treatments under the direction and supervision of Dr. Varma. Nicole is empathetic and communicates with patients who have walked through all journeys in life.

Although PsyFi TMS no longer offers IV Ketamine treatments, Nicole provides a unique approach to behavioral health, and loves connecting with all of her patients. She will go above and beyond to make sure each patient receives the proper resources that our clinic may not always offer.

If you have the opportunity to have a follow up appointment with Nicole, you won’t be disappointed.

Her previous experience working within the prison system has provided an intense understanding of individuals who are truly struggling and need help. It also enhanced her awareness of compliance, surroundings, and ethics. She utilizes a collaborative approach with her colleagues to ensure the most up-to-date medications are offered to patients who have tried multiple medications throughout their mental health journey.

Xueyan is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 17 years of experience working as a nurse in Minnesota and Texas hospital settings, with the majority of that time spent in acute care in oncology, medical-surgical and psychiatric unit. Yan is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese. She was also a midwife for 5 years in China.

Xueyan brings comprehensive training in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders across the lifespan. With a patient-centered approach, Xueyan integrates therapeutic interventions, medication management, and lifestyle recommendations to support clients dealing with psychiatric conditions. Xueyan is known for her empathetic approach by active listening, helping clients understand their symptoms, treatment options, and strategies for long-term mental health stability.

Xueyan (Yan) Luo

PMHNP

Dr. Patrick Dixon provides comprehensive treatment for individuals managing a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anger issues, bipolar disorder, ADHD, borderline personality disorder, and schizophrenia. He also specializes in addressing co-occurring substance use disorders such as opioid dependence, fentanyl use disorder, alcohol abuse, benzodiazepine misuse, and methamphetamine addiction.

At PsyFi TMS, Dr. Dixon offers advanced treatments like Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato (esketamine) therapy for treatment-resistant depression. Nationally certified in both Psychiatric-Mental Health and Adult-Gerontological Medicine, Dr. Dixon also has a special interest in hormone balancing, PCOS, and weight management, providing a holistic approach to patient care.

Eli Sirotin

Holistic Mental Health Specialist

Eli is a certified hypnotherapist, nutritionist, neurofeedback practitioner, and self-regulation expert. As a holistic specialist, Eli blends various techniques, including Alpha Stim, Hypnosis, Infared light therapy, Neurofeedback, and Nutrition/Supplementation to help clients manage symptoms and integrate these practices into daily life. 

Certified by Alpha Stim, Myndlift, Brainsway, & Blossom as a TMS specialist, Eli also monitors computerized ADHD assessments.

Therapy Team

Pao uses an integrative approach by valuing clients’ strengths and inner experiences while improving his/her insight into the dysfunctional thinking that leads to dysfunctional emotions and behaviors. He also believes that a client’s experience is part of a bigger story; one that they have the power to change and can gain the tools to do so. As a psychotherapist, it is Pao’s job to provide a safe atmosphere for clients to discover their potential and gain the insights and tools which will be helpful in their journey to living their best life. It is Pao’s perspective that we all have some form of trauma and attachment issues that affect our relationships and choices in life. Some of us struggle with these more than others. Without addressing these issues, we prevent ourselves from being the best version of ourselves. It is Pao’s wish to be the light in your darkness as you journey into a more colorful future through a lens of hope and opportunities.

Psychotherapist (LGSW)

Emma (she/her) is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) who received her Masters in Social work with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Prior to Psy-Fi TMS Emma worked in outpatient therapy, school social work and hospital social work.

Emma primarily works with adults and adolescents experiencing a wide range of presenting issues, but is particularly drawn to holding space for those working through life transitions, relational/emotional trauma, issues of identity and family dynamics. Emma works from an attachment-based, anti-oppressive, trauma informed lens, while incorporating play and connection any chance she gets.

Emma deeply believes her role as a psychotherapist is to accompany individuals on their journey of coping, integrating, and healing. She holds a firm belief that this healing happens through safe, supportive relationships and carries this into practice. In therapeutic work together Emma enjoys incorporating mindfulness, art, humor, play and movement. You can expect a nonjudgemental space, a stance of curiosity, an open-minded presence, playfulness and a holistic approach to healing.

The Administrative Team

Starting out as a receptionist for PsyFi TMS, Taylor has worked her way to becoming a go-to for the entire clinic and her colleagues. Taylor actively works to make sure the office and patients feel supported when coming in-person or virtually for their appointments. Having been a receptionist, she understands the administrative flow within an office. She also understands the clinician workflow and ensures there’s healthy support for both sides of patient care. Currently working to get her holistic practitioner certification, she is trained in sound therapy.

Office Supervisor

You may recognize Mercedes’ lovely voice on the phone when scheduling your next appointment, or to tell you that a medication was approved by your insurance.  Her upbeat positive energy and attitude makes her the perfect person to supervise the workflow of the administrative team. Not only is she super knowledgeable on the administrative workflow, she has quite the experience with medication prior authorizations! Her dedication to ensuring patients are provided with the resources they need to succeed makes her such a pleasure to work with! 

 

Leora may be the very first person you connect with with choosing PsyFi TMS. She handles much of the scheduling, medication refill requests, intakes, and assists with many of the questions that may arise through your treatment with us. She handles all situations with knowledge, speed, patience, and compassion.

Leora is in the midst of working on her MA at St. Mary’s University. Patients find Leora to be not only helpful, but bring a calm presence with her!

She has a BA in Psychology and is currently working toward her MA in Clinical Counseling and Psychology Services. Once graduated, she hopes to become a licensed therapist in the state of Minnesota.

Currently in school to finish her MA in Counseling and Psychological Services, Shelby carries an easy-going & warm energy that brightens up anyone’s day. Shelby is the first person you’ll see when checking in for your appointment at our clinic and will also be your go-to when calling in for a medication refill. Her experience working in the mental health field as a mental health assistant and ARMHS worker, has provided her the tools to navigate tricky scenarios and help provide a level of ease for those experiencing anxiety. If you have any questions regarding your care or the types of services we offer, Shelby’s your gal to help answer.

Renae is returning to PsyFi TMS as a patient care coordinator since having her baby boy in 2023! 

We were ecstatic to hear she would be returning to our office! With previous experience as an addiction recovery technician, she has seen first hand how addiction can impact people from all walks of life. Renae’s ability to listen to the needs of others and ensure they feel comfortable is a quality we love about Renae.

Noah is a TMS & Spravato Technician, certified to deliver top-notch care. On an average day, you can find him in the TMS room offering comfort and support to patients during their sessions or on the phone helping them get approved for treatment. He is always available to answer any inquiries related to TMS or Spravato.

Noah’s upbeat attitude and compassion ensure that each patient’s visit is enjoyable and rewarding. 

 

Alongside both TMS & Spravato, Noah works closer with VNS procedures and everything that goes into submission on the backend. If you are interested to learn more about these services or see if you’d be a good fit, please schedule an appointment with your medication management provider. 

 

Abby Bailey is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She joins PsyFi TMS team with a wide background of experience. You might recognize her in the hallways, or even in the TMS and Spravato room! Abby previously was a scribe for Dr. Green, and worked hand-in-hand with Nicole for IV Ketamine treatments. Many patients and staff alike love Abby’s natural ease of calmness and ready to help wherever help is needed! 

She enjoys working with patients and watching their growth along with collaborating with the different services our clinic has to offer.
